NEW POTATOES

New Potatoes are new season crop potatoes and begin very small, command high prices until the main crop begins to be harvested. Imported first from the Chanel Islands - Jersey and Guernsey, also imported from Europe in large quantities.

1 kg of new potatoes will produce approx. 12 portions.
Cooking Methods
The new potato is cooked often in boiling not cold water or cooked in their skins in the steamer.

Potatoes can also be used for salads such as: Salade de pommes de terre, Salade Niçoise.
