Video Production

Project Description

The unit where I work provides a video production and streaming solution that is flexible enough to accommodate most requirements across the Faculty at King's College London. As well as recording lectures and seminar sessions, I regularly undertake the production of bespoke video training materials.

I am often asked to provide expertise in the scripting and pre-production of content. This is especially important when making a recording of an equipment demonstration or scientific procedure. Digitising such content is extremely helpful as it allows students to revisit and revise these one-off teaching sessions long after they have taken place. In such instances I'm careful to work with academics to organise the content into shorter units of learning, moving away from over-long videos that are difficult to digest online.

Additionally, I provide post-production services including editing, grading and the addition of titles or other graphics, as required. Optimisation for streaming on our Adobe Media Server is an import part of the process, as well as designing menus and playlists to allow viewers to easily navigate between multiple titles.

More recently I have started filming 360° panoramic content; Surgical Skills Training 360° Video

Software used: Adobe Premiere / Adobe Media Server / JW Player.
